Crestone Artists Studio Tour and Sale
December 3rd and 4th from 1 to 6 p.m.
Some of Crestone’s most talented artists open their studios at the base of the scenic Sangre de Cristo Mountains for an intimate experience in art, gifts, food and conversations with the artists. This year the tour collaborates with Shumei International Institute again to start off your art immersion weekend with an evening of beautiful live music from Chuck and Theano Lamb, (theanoandchucklamb.com). Enjoy beautiful music in a lovely setting atop the mountain on Friday Dec. 2nd. Tickets are a $10 suggested donation. For more information visit shumeicrestone.org or contact Shumei at 719-256-5284.
On Saturday, Dec. 3rd at 7pm, after the studios close for the day, come out and enjoy “Celebrating the Spoken Word,” an evening of performance and poetry in downtown Crestone at the Laughing Buddha Lounge. The event will feature local and regional poets with a special musical guest and open mike. Dinner options will be available for purchase. It’s a full weekend of art in several forms.
If you’re in our area over the Thanksgiving Holiday, November 26th and 27th is Crestone’s Annual Winterfest. Crafts and gifts galore in downtown Crestone.
